New design plan for Brentwood town centre

Brentwood Borough Council has unveiled a new strategic Design Plan to kick start its vision of the future for Brentwood town centre, Essex. The plan, which we developed with support from GVA and Project Centre, identifies routes and opportunity sites that could contribute to the cohesive regeneration of the town centre as part of a long term development process.

Our primary objectives are to boost and future-proof the town centre; provide communities with services they need; enhance public spaces and the environment; and maximise development opportunities with high quality design and suitable uses. Importantly, we focus on enhancing the existing character of the town centre and Conservation Area.

The general public will be able to view Design Plan work so far from 11:00-17:00 on Friday 17 March and 10:00-17:00 on Saturday 18 March at Unit 36 Baytree Centre, Brentwood.
