RIBA London Award win

We are over the moon that Vaudeville Court won a RIBA London Award last night, beating off stiff competition from across the capital.

The scheme provides a modern, flexible housing typology designed to be replicated on other sites across LB Islington. All 13 homes are for social rent, providing a timely example of what can be achieved in the context of public sector cuts and the housing crisis.

Judges commented that ‘The delight felt by the new inhabitants of the scheme is evident. The family homes are enviably spacious and light and connect well to the outside space. Both the ground floor duplex homes and two bedroomed apartments above feel private but not isolated,’ and continued to say that our design 'has a real sense of joy’.
