Maurice & Vivienne Wohl Campus, Barnet

About:

Jewish Care is the largest health and social care charity for the Jewish community in the UK and provides a wide range of care for older residents.

This scheme provides an integrated complex bringing together a day centre, residential care home for dementia sufferers, extra care home for Holocaust survivors, and offices for the charity. The buildings are arranged around a high-quality landscaped courtyard that unifies the different elements and provides a sociable focal point. The landscape team researched dementia extensively to create a private and peaceful space. Planned specially for these residents, the final design also includes a variety of stimulating sensory planting.
