Concert Hall, Bristol - Heritage Lottery Fund success

We are absolutely delighted with yesterday's announcement by the Heritage Lottery Fund that Concert Hall’s application for funding has been successful, with £4.75 million earmarked for the project. This brings the overall target for funding ever closer, with Arts Council England and Bristol City Council already committed to significant contributions.

We are currently making exciting progress on our design proposals for the transformation of the old building, which follows on from our new front of house extension building completed in 2009. The HLF funding will be targeted at the restoration of the Grade II listed Lantern space and the entrance colonnade, part of the original Victorian front of house, which will enrich the experience of concert goers within the revived building.
