Open City Hackathon

Open City invited one member of our team to join Green Sky Thinking's Hackathon. This consisted of a one day event where people from different backgrounds were tasked with coming up with ideas to improve an urban area. The challenge this year was 'How to build an open city' at Argent’s new development, Brent Cross South.

They provided each team a fictional persona and asked to see the proposed masterplan from his/her point of view. We had to determine what should be done to make this person's – and the community's – life easier. This required fast design thinking and considering aspects beyond our typical field of knowledge, making the experience and proposals extremely challenging and interesting. Watch the film below for an idea of what we got up to!
