Medlar Farm and Yeading Lane, Ealing

The feasibility studies for the Medlar Farm and Yeading Lane Estates demanded sensitivity to their suburban setting and economically mixed context. Our options for introducing new housing aimed to find creative solutions that managed the financial feasibility of development and the limitations imposed as a result of existing infrastructure, including poor connections to public transport.

Our designs looked at how two isolated estates could become part of a network of safe streets as part of a wider regeneration agenda. Newly imagined public spaces fulfil a range of functions including, play, community growing and parking, all designed with a view to future phased redevelopment.
