Hazelhurst Court, Lewisham

Working with Phoenix Community Housing Association, we will provide an additional 59 extra care homes on the under used grounds of an existing development for older people. The design promotes resident interaction with an overlap between public and private spaces throughout.

The homes and communal facilities are designed to meet the changing needs of elderly people and include social, communal spaces, a kitchen and restaurant, hobby rooms, assisted bathrooms, and cycle/scooter storage. All homes are dual aspect and are designed to HAPPI design principles with flexible layouts. A glazed communal garden room at ground floor also connects new landscaped gardens.
