Following the completion of the design plan for Brentwood Town Centre, we were asked by Brentwood Borough Council to prepare a design guide for sites within and around the town centre.
The design guide mainly covers overarching/strategic design principles for good place-shaping. It targets design issues relevant to the Brentwood context, picking up on key elements from our design plan. The Council then went through a period of public consultation and internal/ external stakeholder engagement, with the document now being formally adopted this week as the Brentwood Town Centre design guide, a supplementary planning document (SPD).
