The Wellcome Collection are running the exhibition ‘Can Graphic Design Save Your Life?’ and it’s certainly worth a visit.
It highlights the subliminal power of graphic design within the health industry and how it has made an impact in shaping our environment. It comprises the work of graphic designers from the 20th and 21st centuries, communicating healthcare messages in the form of worldwide campaigns.
Design agency Wolff Olins’s recent rebrand for Macmillan was particularly thought-provoking. Since refreshing their identity to make it accessible and friendly, fundraising has increased by £26 million within the last two years. It shows how important graphic design can be to convey the correct message.
The exhibition is free but closes on 14 January – so check it out before it's gone!
