Last week at our monthly Friday night drinks, members of Irene’s studio presented a summary of our current specialist housing projects. These included a retirement village in Surrey, a feasibility study to provide housing for people with autism in Lewisham and Hazelhurst Court, an extra care scheme that’s currently on site, also in Lewisham.
We also shared our design for independent living housing in Bedfordshire. With the need to keep existing residents on site and to reduce any disruption, we’re exploring the use of modern methods of construction such as cross laminated timber (CLT) or structurally insulated panel systems (SIPS) to help speed up the construction process.
