At Levitt Bernstein, we believe in the power of architecture to shape communities and transform lives. That's why we are thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming Manchester Half Marathon to raise funds for Shelter, a charity dedicated to combating homelessness and providing safe, secure, and affordable housing for those in need.
On the 15th of October, Julia and I will be putting on our running shoes and taking to the streets of Manchester to run the half marathon. We're not just running for the thrill of it, but to make a tangible impact on the lives of those less fortunate in our community.
Shelter is a charity close to our hearts at Levitt Bernstein. In celebration of our Manchester studio's 10th birthday, we have paired up with Shelter to raise money over the course of the year. Earlier this year we took part in the March 100km supporting Shelter, and collectively walked and ran 5,529.84km, raising a huge £540.
Homelessness and the lack of adequate housing are pressing issues in the UK, and Manchester is no exception. With rising housing costs and economic challenges, many individuals and families find themselves facing the harsh reality of homelessness. Shelter works tirelessly to provide support, advice, and shelter to those who have lost their homes or are at risk of doing so. By supporting Shelter, we aim to contribute to their mission of ensuring that everyone has a place to call home – a fundamental human right that we believe in as architects and as people. We invite you to join us in supporting our efforts to make a difference in our community. Your donation will go directly to Shelter, helping them provide vital services to those in need. At Levitt Bernstein, we're committed to creating places and spaces that enhance lives. Running the Manchester Half Marathon in support of Shelter is an extension of this commitment. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can create positive change and help those who are most vulnerable in our society. If you're in Manchester on the 15th of October, come and show your support by cheering for us along the marathon route!
