On Sunday, Davide, Charlotte and I volunteered at a fundraising supper club for Made In Hackney as part of their current bid to raise £85k. We helped to set up the venue, prepped food, served and washed endless amounts of dishes. We also got to sample the delicious food, which included sweet potato and peanut soup, braised aubergine with couscous, Ottolenghi salads and berry crumble.
The event raised £1,350, which is the amount required to run a six week healthy cooking course for ten people. The Crowdfunder finishes today and there are still plenty of rewards left up for grabs, so now is your chance if you would like to donate - it closes tonight at midnight!
