Linden Grove, a small yet challenging site between Peckham and Nunhead, has just received planning permission. It will provide 27 new affordable homes, split between 20 flats and seven houses. These have been designed around an existing courtyard in an extremely constrained site, knitting into the existing estate while re-addressing the once negated street frontage.
Materials and massing have drawn their inspiration from their immediate context, looking at creating a close relationship between old and new. The existing landscape and courtyard have been enhanced to create a safe and pleasant space where residents can meet and children can play.
