Last Friday night, IC's studio event took place at Hammersmith United Charity’s 400th birthday bash. Working with artist and PhD student Carolyn Defrin, we designed and built a swing to encourage strangers to strike up conversation, find out a bit more about each other and discover some common ground. We came up with questions such as ‘find one thing you have in common’ and ‘what has been your favourite age’.

The event was held at St Paul’s church in Hammersmith and furniture upcycling charity Petit Miracles created brightly coloured benches out of donated furniture.
