I enjoyed a fantastic weekend in the sun volunteering at the inaugural Rochdale Uprising mural festival. Some of the most well-known international street artists created new works in the town centre, all with a brief to reflect aspects of Rochdale’s heritage.

Feedback from the local public was that this was one of the most exciting things to happen in Rochdale in a long time, and there was genuine amazement about how far people had travelled to visit the event. This felt like a really special moment for Rochdale and comes at an exciting time for the town with new developments taking shape in and around the centre (including our own).
