Irene Craik is an architect and has been a Director since 2002. She has particular expertise in specialist housing and extra care projects, which often combine both residential and healthcare requirements. She regularly contributes to research and her work spans housing and urban renewal sectors through to arts and community buildings. Many of her projects also involve the creative reuse of historic buildings. Examples include her contributions to the HAPPI report and her work on the intergenerational housing project, Melfield Gardens.
Irene is a member of the Barking and Dagenham Design Review Panel and has contributed to several publications, including design guides for public sector housing providers such as the Southern Housing Residential Design Guide published in 2023.
