This commission involved looking at development opportunities on six strategically located sites within Rochford town centre. As a Housing and Public Sector Land Project, the brief was to provide an overall vision for the long-term regeneration and development of the town by producing various options for the infill sites.
Our proposals will positively impact their immediate surroundings by investing in the public realm to create a permeable and well-connected town centre. We have therefore looked at the sites and their development potential individually, but also given thought to how they would fit into their wider context and enable further investment in Rochford.
The development options and proposed typologies were tested through market research and financial modelling. We subsequently advised the Council on quantum, phasing, and nature of non-residential uses proposed on the primary sites.
A wider regeneration plan that considers long term development options for Rochford town centre.
