For this project, we are redeveloping an underutilised site to provide 79 new, affordable homes. Each home is designed to be naturally ventilated to avoid the need for cooling and nearly all are dual aspect. Homes on the upper floors have oversized balconies linked to the living rooms to provide good quality outdoor space. Commercial space is re-provided on the ground floor and there are two amenity spaces higher up the building which will be available for all residents to use.
The building design draws on the historic proportions of buildings on the surrounding streets and takes inspiration from the materials found in the area. In addition, public realm improvements link the building into the high street.
