Alongside Haringey Council, we developed the environmental aspirations for Ashley Road Depot to deliver a low carbon neighbourhood. The existing site, which houses a refuse depot, will be transformed into 272 new homes for council rent and market sale.
The project has been designed to meet Passivhaus standards, with the highest levels of fabric energy efficiency, triple glazing and reduced thermal bridging. Window sizes respond to each orientation, external shutters reduce solar gain and photovoltaic panels on the roofs are some of the measures that have been integrated into the design. All buildings connect to the District Energy Network. The scheme is aiming to deliver the LETI targets for Net Zero operational carbon and embodied carbon.
We have produced this one-pager with Etude to be transparent about the targets we are aiming to achieve on this project at planning stage.
