We partnered with Etude, Elementa and Currie & Brown on a research study for five London boroughs: Haringey, Ealing, Westminster, Greenwich and Barking and Dagenham. This work involved undertaking in-depth cost and carbon modelling for different archetypes. This was used to understand the cost and carbon emission reductions using building regulation methodology, such as SAP.
The team went beyond the brief and showcased the energy and carbon savings for three archetypes using the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) and outlined the need to move beyond Building Regulations methodology in local planning policy in order to achieve net zero carbon.
