The London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) is a network of built environment professionals working together to put London on the path to a zero carbon future.
We were heavily involved in the creation of LETI’s Climate Emergency Design Guide (launched in January 2020) which details the approach, targets and benchmarks that new developments in the UK need to achieve to reach net zero in operation.
To support this guide, we also helped develop a one-page summary to show how new buildings can achieve net zero operational carbon. It was written in collaboration with the UK Green Building Council and the Better Building Partnership, with the support of the Good Homes Alliance, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers. We have ensured all of these resources are freely available to everyone.
