These sketches illustrate our concept for two courtyards in an intergenerational housing scheme that have been developed in close partnership with a gardener and horticulturalist. The two spaces, whilst separate in character and use, are designed in parallel, both conceptually and physically. Ideas of shelter, woodland understory and fairytale have been explored.
