We wanted to extend our best wishes to Esme Brooker, one of our Landscape Assistants, for being awarded the University of East London's Landscape Year Prize. After having completed her course at UEL last year without ever having visited the university, she was finally able to go there last week to attend their open studio and prize-giving event, where she was awarded the Landscape Year Prize. Please find some of her work pictured above, centred on the theme of 'space and democracy'. There was also an evening lecture by Neven Sidor of Grimshaw, on the theme of “doing more with less”, with a particular focus on the challenges of addressing the climate crisis.
Congratulations again, Esme – a very well deserved win.
