We have recently contributed to some research called What is the future of high-rise housing? which examines the long-term social and financial impacts of residential towers.
These essays discuss the affordability of high-rise living and suggest that Government and industry need to do much more to ensure that high-rise housing provides popular, sustainable and affordable homes and neighbourhoods.
We’re supporting this research alongside Pollard Thomas Edwards and Allies and Morrison. The principal authors are: June Barnes, former CEO of East Thames Housing Association; Andrew Beharrell, senior advisor and former senior partner at Pollard Thomas Edwards; the former Peabody development director Dickon Robinson; and LSE distinguished policy fellow, Kath Scanlon Bradley.
The report was launched yesterday at the LSE. Click here to download a free copy.
