We are delighted to share that we are finalists in two categories in BD’s Architect of the Year Awards. These awards celebrate all-round design excellence and fitness of purpose over a body of work within a sector.
First, we have been named finalists for Refurbishment Architect of the Year for our work on Devonshire Park, Eastbourne; UCL’s Faculty of Laws, LB Camden; Kathleen Lonsdale Building, LB Camden and Concert Hall, Bristol. In the face of the climate crisis, refurbishment and retrofit are more important than ever.
We are also finalists for Education Architect of the Year (nursery to 6th form) for our work on Eltham College, LB Bromley; King’s School, Bruton; Elizabeth College, Guernsey and Leighton Park School, Reading. All of these projects have dealt with listed buildings on constrained, sensitive sites.
Finally, congratulations to Julia Park, our Head of Housing Research, who has been shortlisted for Architectural Leader of the Year. This is in recognition of her tireless work writing and campaigning on housing policy, space standards and ending permitted development rights.
The winners will be revealed at the ceremony in October. Until then, you can find the shortlists here.
